Transitions was born on the lawn of the house I grew up in in Pound Ridge, NY days before my family moved on to another house. This piece marked a transition of letting of my childhood and stepping into my power as a women.

Transitions, the turning of a leaf. Where you are neither here nor there, you are suspended. Removed by a gust of wind or just because it was your time to let go. Suspension, a slow falling into the unknown. Sometimes this falling feel like death, that's because it is. The death of one life and the beginning of another. A breakdown into a nutrient rich soil. A decomposing, recycling, resurrection. A new beginning, a new opportunity for growth. Maybe not quite the way it was before, for this is different and just as beautiful if you choose to see it that way. Destruction is a breeding ground for creation, sensation, love. Out with the old and in with the new, so we can make space for whats to come.
